Guild Rules

Guild Master

The GM of Lost Soldiers is me, Creatord. My word is final above all others in guild although it’s very rare I take it to this extent.

Officers
Are players I trust and expect they will use common sense to resolve issues when I am not online. Each officer has different strengths and weaknesses. Most Officers have been in guild for a long time however not all. These players go beyond what a Core raider does with Raider Leaders, Class Leaders, Paying for Vent Hosting and Maintaining our websites and forums. All officers deserve your respect and in turn they will give you there's. If you ever had a "Run in" with an officers please bring your issue directly to ME. With all that said an officer stil has the same duties as every other player and must not let it go to there head.

Core Raiders

Core Raiders are players in the guild that are here not only to be with their friends, but also to move forward in PvE progression. We have 2 types of raiders: Core Raiders who attend 3+ nights of raids each week and Casual Raiders who are geared well enough to raid but are restricted in the number of nights they are available due to real life commitments.

Non-Raiding Members

We have many players in guild that are not considered raiders and are here as a guild friend all of them have the option to request to move up to raiders as long as there is a need for their class and spec. These players are here as guests of the guild. Non-raiding members are ranked as Guild Friend, Alt, New Recruit or Wanker.

General Issues

Ventrilo

Ventrilo is your friend. Get used to it. Like it or hate it, if you’re playing in PvE you must start using Vent. It’s not a scary thing that you should say “ZOMG ppl on the internet want to talk to me!” If you’re a member of Lost Soldiers and you’re asked a question on Vent you should have the respect to be able to answer that question with the sound of your voice. This is a pet hate of mine: players that refuse to talk. Use your mic, have a chat to your guildies! 99% of players are nice, honest people and just like a chat like myself. And do your 5 mans on vent!

With this said we have a PRIVATE vent server. You have no right to invite any Tom, Dick or Harry on our Vent. If they are not in guild ask an officer if it’s ok they join. This is usually not a problem, however, I should never log online and see 5 names I have no idea who they are because your friends decided this vent was a cool place to hang - they will all be promptly asked to leave.

New guild members/players new to our Vent should have their real life name as their display name and their in game name in parentheses as a comment (or vice versa, whichever you prefer). This will help me and other officers identify names we do not recognize and will prevent you from being kicked or banned from the Vent server.

VENT IS YOUR FRIEND!

Forums

Well looks like you made it here, make sure you regularly check up to see what’s happening in your guild! I love the forums! Everything from Guild Announcements to ZOMG Drama is here along with DPS Chats and Boss stats. At least take the time once a week to look at your guild forums.

The Guild EPEEN

Lost Soldiers has always had a good name on Shadowmoon and we are very well known for being a guild that is always fair to pugs. We generally keep a very low profile on the Shadowmoon forums. Don’t get involved with any e-drama about “ZOMG We suck” or bashing of other guilds, keep it behind closed doors on our forums here else don’t do it at all. Easy. And keep your stupid comments out of general chat **LOOKS AT ZADOK** Getting banned is stupid.

Guild Issues

Guild drama QQ

You’re never going to get along with everyone in this life and it’s much the same on WoW. You don’t have to be everyone’s best friend however you do need to maintain respect for one another; without respect we may as well not have a guild. No matter if you love or hate a person in the guild I expect a general level of courtesy. I say hello to strangers on the street every day you can at least have the same respect for other WoW players no matter how big a Wanker they may be. Any issues you have with others if you can NOT resolve them yourself please bring them to my attention.

Hurling abuse at each other helps no one It won't make you feel better or the other person, resolve issues like adults. Or we can use my simple approach, you both fuck off its nice and easy.

Religion, Politics and Personal Beliefs in General in guild chat

You are all most welcome to talk about any issues you want however please keep Religion, Politics and Gays to your private tells and vent channels. Chances are you option is not the same as someone else. Does not make them a bad person or you a bad person either. Just means you have different beliefs please watch your self in these three topics, and have respect for others. There is no right or wrong, just different points of views.

If you can not control yourself and have to talk about these topics in Guild use the dam door and learn some respect for others.

Professions
You are not to charge anyone in the guild members for trades skills or professions, providing that the mats are supplied of course, no matter how rare something is you may have. After all you’re hitting a damn button. You are most welcome to tip however this is our mini community. I scratch your back you scratch mine this is how we do it.

The Guild Bank

The guild bank is more of a trade bank, for PvE Raiders.

All items in the guild bank can be purchased for 20% less then AH price, this gold is used for guild repairs. The guild bank also collects greens from all 10 and 25 man raids these are sharded and can be purchased by any one in the guild. on the condition its for else use and NOT personal profit. Do NOT deposit worthless materials (like fish scales) into the guild bank and do NOT rearrange items within the guild bank.

I do have access to the logs via the official WoW website which dates back a few weeks however I am not a book keeper I have trust in my guild members. With that said, abuse this service and you will soon find yourself out in the cold farming your ass off for mats for every raid.

Epic Gems in the guild bank are open to all raiders by request. All officers can give these gems out. They are given out 20% less to PvE Core Raiders for PvE gear only! For all others they can either be exchanged i.e. red epic gem for another type, or purchased with gold or other items of equal value that the guild has use for. Keep in mind that the transaction is up to the discretion of officers. If you feel you need epic gems for your PvP gear too damn bad the guild bank will NOT help you.

I expect all guild members that take from the bank to return to the bank.

Leaving the Guild

If you are going to move to another guild leave this one before you apply, I FUCKING HATE ppl who sit here while they wait to get in another guild.

ie. A guild is like a Girl Friend you don't go ask out another chick while your still sleeping with your current girl. Chances are if you girl found out she is going to want to cut off your dick, hate you and never talk to you again.. Hmm how about that .

The right way is to say goodbye leave the guild with the below tactic and people will maintain freindship with you and won't think your a asshole.

No matter who you are in Lost Soldiers you are in this guild on your own merits you may have made it in the door because you were friends with an Old school Lost Soldier however this does not mean you have open reign and can say and do what you like because you are above the rules. You must treat every one with respect and kindness just like you would your family and friends in real life.

If you do decide to leave then give us a real reason, post it on the forums, say your goodbyes, say in Gchat before you leave. I hate nothing more than players that just /gquit with not a word said, it’s a great big kick in the nutz from my point of view and trust me my nutz have been kicked in the nutz more than once over the years. If you do fail at the above then expect your alts to be shown the door as well.

Being Kicked from the guild

This is one job that I do not like having to do however Kicking players who do not follow the rules has been more than a little successful for me in the past in order to keep the guild sane . There are only a handful of reasons that you will be kicked out of the guild.

• Being rude repeatedly
• Applying for another guild. This is my pet hate. If you’re looking to leave LS post on the forums why then leave BEFORE applying for another guild. I have no remorse for anyone that I remove from Lost Soldiers because they applied for another guild. And NO you’re not doing the right thing by Lost Soldiers by staying until you get into your new guild, you’re Stabbing a Knife In and twisting it as many times as you can for personal gain before leaving!
• Verbally assaulting another guild member
• Ninja’ing loots
• Forcing your beliefs onto others
• Stelling raid ID's

These are just a few examples. Do unto others as you would have them do unto you. Use your common sense and you will be fine.

Taking a break / Quitting WoW

If your circumstances change then let us know on the forums or let an officer know in private. We are more then happy to accommodate you as best we can. And all members that do not leave on bad terms are always welcome back in guild as a “Guild Friend.

Alts

I am happy for you to have your alts in the guild as long as YOU are the only person that plays that toon and you understand Mains > ALTS no matter what. You can ask to raid on an alt however understand we recruited you as your main we expect you to play that unless otherwise required. And if you are going to ask to bring your alt it may be for farm content only and it must be up to par; PvP gears help fill the gap for many classes here. As always, the decision lies with me and officers in the raid.

Raiding

Loots
We are currently using Loot Counsel here and do our best to share loots over every one. if you have an issue feel free to bring it up to an officer or Myself.

Specs
Lost Soldiers are here as a PvE guild and just that. Your spec is expected to be the best return for your class and our raids.

Consumables
You as a raider are expected to bring the things you require to get the most out of your toon. Food, Oils, Weapon Stones, Pots, Elixirs, and even Flasks are required by every raider for every raid. This is your job, no one is going to make you bring them however if you don’t expect your raid invite to go to someone that does For the Good of the Guild.

Make use of the guild bank and your fellow raiders. As a guild we have access to Pot Masters, Elixir/Flask masters, enchanters, etc. etc. that make preparing yourself for raids much easier than if you try to obtain everything by yourself. Please keep in mind that when you take items from the guild bank it is up to you to put something back in its place.

Raiders returning from Real Life.

This is my strong view and therefor guild policy as of NOW, that I want all guild members to understand. This guild has and always will as long as we are Lost Soldiers treat people with kindness and respect for one another. With the lend a hand where you can attitude.

I do NOT agree with this rising motto of old players who come back to be treated like new members or worse that they have done something wrong and start at the bottom.

Now with that said I also do not agree they should be right into raids in the first week of there return.

I have a solution which I thought was pretty well general knowledge however I will make it clear.

We should make a solid effort to help these players re-gear to the current raiding level again. And then rotate them into raids where we can. It is not like that is very hard to gear a solid level of gear. Once this is archived we should be trying to get them involved in raids again as fast as we can, be it 10 or 25 man.

We have done this many times in the past I am going to pick on Josh for this example:
In BC raiding Josh had RL happen and stopped playing for a bit, on his return back to wow all members did our best to help him gear to the current raid level again and get involved in raids where he could. Now do not get me wrong Josh worked hard at this however he also was given support where we could.

A more recent example of this is
Brickhouse upon his return he was under geared, he has worked hard to regear and I know Brian has helped a considerable amount however he was helped to get back to a raiding level by both him self and the guild and is now being rotated back in where he can be.

I want to see a STOP to this increasingly frustrating trend where players that return to wow after RL are being looked down upon.

This policy is the first of many that will start to appear in the coming weeks. As I can not be online 24/7 I still wish the guild to run in a certain manner. This topic is NOT open for discussion.

Gear can be overcome in a small fraction of time. I want to see attitude from all members in the guild change from this stigma which has recently surfaced.

I have always done my best to help players, Hell it took me 30 days to get to lv 60 because I was helping ppl in lower lv instances quite often.

I want my guild THIS GUILD to reflect that kindness where we can.
